British
Columbia's diversity, from the Rocky Mountains to the Okanagan Valley
to Vancouver Island and the Pacific Ocean, creates unique settings for golf courses
and challenges no matter which region of the province you are in.
Boasting over 250 golf courses, you are never very far from a golf course in southern British Columbia. Northern cities and communities also have golfing, par 3 and minitaure golf courses, albeit with shorter seasons.
While playing
spectacular courses designed by the likes of Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus
and Robert Trent Jones you may see deer, eagles, hawks, coyotes and
other wildlife. Courses of every difficulty level can create an appropriate
challenge for any golfer from a beginner to a scratch handicap.
On Central and
Southern Vancouver Island and in the Lower Mainland golf is played
practically year round while the rest of the provinces courses such
as Whistler, just north of Vancouver, are at their best from May to
October.
Many of the provinces
resorts, hotels, and motels offer excellent golf packages which can
be included in the price of your stay. |
