Summerland is located on Lake Okanagan in the South Okanagan Valley, within a short driving distance from Penticton and Kelowna.

Summerland has spectacular scenery and is surrounded by orchards and vineyards. Summerland offers some of the Valley's best swimming beaches, an 18 hole recreation golf course, a 9 hole executive par 3 golf course, racquet club, tennis courts, yacht club, sailing club, curling rink, skating arena, slo-pitch sports field, horseshoe pitch, and is also within a short drive to three ski resorts.

The Kettle Valley Steam Railway is a very popular tourist attraction which is open from the Victoria Day long weekend in May (Monday prior to May 24) through to the Canadian Thanksgiving Weekend in October. (second Monday).

There are many special events to enjoy as well as a wide selection of food establishments from fast food to fine dining.

Penticton, just south of Summerland. nestled on the shores between Okanagan Lake and  Skaha Lake, is world-famous for its hospitality and recreation facilities. Naramata is just a short distance north on the opposite side of the lake from Summerland.  See South Okanagan Page for more details.
