Rossland is home to some of the best alpine and cross-country skiing in BC. Rossland has been producing ski champions such as Nancy Green and Kerrin Lee-Gartner since 1897.  These champions developed their skills on the steep slopes and deep snow of Red Mountain.  Cross-country skiers will love the 50 km (31.25 mi) of groomed trails at Blackjack's.

When its not ski season Rossland offers hundreds of km of trails for mountain bikers and hikers and the trails radiate right from the centre of town. If you're not into biking in the "Mountain Biking Capital of Canada"  or you need more to do Rossland offers great golf and swimming or fishing on nearby lakes and rivers.

Among the things to do include panning for gold while on a tour of the Le Roi gold mine, a visit to the BC Firefighters Museum or a walking tour of Rossland's Heritage Buildings. There are over 30 commercial heritage buildings constructed before 1929. Many of these buildings are of "Western False Front" architecture, while several large buildings are made of brick, stone or granite.
