 Ladner Village Market:
This open air market showcases more than 100 vendors and artisans who offer a mix of fresh produce, plants, garden accessories, aroma therapy and soaps, herbs, handmade jewelry and more. Ladner Village Markets are organized by the Ladner Business Association. They are held two Sundays each month in June, July and August. Ladner Village Market Draws Record Crowd The attendance at Ladner Village Market reached an all-time high on Sunday, July 8. From the minute it opened at 10 a.m. until closing at 4 p.m., the market buzzed with shoppers, artisans, entertainers and more shoppers. Market organizer Bill McKnight says estimating the size of the crowd is difficult because it was so large. A conservative guess is 20,000 people, exceeding the average attendance of about 10,000. "Many artisans sold out of their items; local restaurants were very busy," he says, "and our store had its biggest sales day ever."
